There’s no doubt, some players are getting outrageous wages and ironically contributing less to the success of their respective teams, how their clubs agreed to pay them such an exasperating amount of money when they practically contribute less or nothing to the betterment of their clubs is absolutely surprising.

Of course, it’s not the players’ fault that clubs decide to offer them massive wages which are expected of every club that desperately needs a player. But the saddening part is when these players come into the clubs and perform below Par – it then becomes laughable.

Taking into consideration their actual wage and their contributions so far in the Premier League this season.

Juan Mata (Manchester United) £160,000 – Per week

Mata undoubtedly has had a successful career but he definitely needs to be contributing more to this poor United side. The Spaniard has only started just one league game since October and hasn’t had a goal nor an assist. Too bad!

Christian Benteke (Crystal Palace) – £120,000 Per-week

Benteke has had 19th appearances in the Premier League this season and has scored only once for the Eagles. This is not a good number for a striker once rated as one of the best attackers in England. Interestingly, he goes home with £120,000 every week. His agent deserves an award. Truly!
