FC Barcelona shot-stopper Marc-Andre Ter Stegen is a major doubt for the Copa del Rey final in the wake of suffering a crucial knee injury. The German international has played an integral part in Barcelona LaLiga title defence, making an interesting 35 league cap in a consistently good form.
Ernesto Valverde has rested the German as of late around the Champions League semi-finals and ahead of the Copa clash with Valencia on May 25, permitting Jasper Cillessen to venture in for the league games against Celta Vigo and Getafe.
However, Ter Stegen has still managed to sustain an injury, with Barca revealing on Thursday the 27-year-old is struggling with discomfort in his right knee.
The club have not given any further insights about the seriousness of the injury, but Ter Stegen is likely at any rate to miss the outing to Eibar on Sunday and is a major concern for the Copa del Rey final in nine days time.
