Scoring a goal in football usually decides between a win or a loss. But what if I told you some players take this concept to an extreme-to the point of not just helping their team with a goal, but their side never losing once they’ve scored?
There is an elite group of Premier League players who have kept a clean slate since finding the back of the net. Each time they score, the teams either emerge as winners or go home with a draw but never lose.
Sounds like a football fan’s dream, right?

1. Gabriel Jesus – 60 Games Scored In (W55 D5)
The ever-smiling striker leads this list because his goalscoring form has seen him through to some of the most dominant sides in Premier League history.
Jesus has 73 Premier League goals from 217 appearances for both Manchester City and Arsenal and holds the record for most games scored in without defeat.
When Jesus puts the ball in the net, his teams have pretty much been close to invincible: Manchester City in the era of Pep Guardiola and Arsenal under Mikel Arteta.
That is 60 games in which he found the back of the net, returning 55 wins and five draws. Not only does that speak to his clinical finishing, but it speaks to his knack for finding the back of the net when it matters.
You have to respect such consistency. After all, he does have four Premier League winners’ medals to his name, a proof of his mentality of winning. His win rate in games he’s scored in is an interesting 91.7%, and at just 27, who knows how long he’ll extend this run?
2. James Milner – 54 Games Scored In (W43 D11)
Name any list of Premier League legends, and here’s one you’d find in nearly each of them: James Milner.
The tireless workhorse dubbed “Mr Reliable” has played a multitude of roles during his career. And while he’s never exactly been confused for an out-and-out goal-scorer, Milner does just seem to have a knack for making the difference when it truly counts.
Milner has scored in 54 PL games across spells with Leeds United, Newcastle, Aston Villa, Manchester City, Liverpool, and Brighton, and single one of those has ended in defeat.
He doesn’t score a lot, but when he does, his team takes something from the game. Talk about clutch!
Still making an impact even at 38 years of age, Milner, when that day finally comes for him to score for Brighton in the Premier League, you simply would not bet against him keeping his undefeated streak intact.
3. Diogo Jota – 48 Games Scored In (W41 D7)
Jota is a man with a nose for goals and a penchant for not losing when he finds one. The Portuguese attacker has proven to be a big hit for both Wolves and Liverpool, netting in 48 different Premier League fixtures without tasting defeat.
Jota has been at the heart of the action for Liverpool most notably in his early days when he became the first Reds player since Robbie Fowler to score in each of his first four Premier League home games.
He was similarly influential at Wolves, helping the newly promoted side into the top half of the table by netting in 12 games without losing.
Still only 27, Jota is all but certain to pass Milner soon enough – particularly with him remaining an important influence under Jürgen Klopp and his successor at Anfield.
4. Darius Vassell – 46 Games Scored In (W36 D10)
Darius Vassell may not be the first name to come into your head when you think of Premier League goalscorers, but this former Aston Villa and Manchester City forward can boast a pretty excellent record.
Vassell netted in 46 games for his teams during the Premier League, and in all those matches his teams never lost.
Vassell was solid without being spectacular in the top flight. He scored 52 Premier League goals in 265 appearances but never gained a reputation for scoring hatfuls but his goals always seemed to come at the right time for his team.
Whether at Villa or at City, when he was on the scoresheet, Vassell had the magic touch of keeping his team unbeaten.
Unfortunately for Vassell, the streak didn’t bleed into the Championship, as his goal against Nottingham Forest in Leicester City’s 3-2 loss in 2011 ended the unbeaten streak—though it didn’t dent his Premier League legacy.
5. Erling Haaland – 45 Games Scored In (W39 D6)
Think of records, especially those for goal scoring, and you have to think of Erling Haaland’s name. This Norwegian goal machine has made a meteoric rise to the top of English football, breaking Premier League records almost as fast as he is scoring goals.
In just 73 Premier League games, Haaland has already found the net in 45 separate matches and never lost when doing so.
Manchester City, under Pep Guardiola, have been a winning machine, and Haaland’s goals have been the fuel powering that dominance.
From the moment his debut season smoked the single-season Premier League goal record with 36 strikes, it was clear that Haaland is no ordinary striker.
He is only 24 and, with City’s strength plus Haaland’s hunger, don’t be surprised if this record in no time bloats. Haaland could dominate this list in seasons to come.
6. Salomon Kalou – 32 Games Scored In (W29 D3)
Kalou spent a rather quiet yet fruitful time in the Premier League, predominantly with Chelsea. Not being that prolific of a striker, he nevertheless had this knack of scoring important goals, and Chelsea seldom lost when he was on target.
In his time at Stamford Bridge, Kalou scored in 32 games, with Chelsea going on to win 29 of those and drawing the remaining three.
He was among the ranks when Carlo Ancelotti guided Chelsea to Premier League victory in the 2009-10 campaign, as he remained integral to their domestic successes for large parts of his six-year stay in London.
Kalou may not be remembered as one of Chelsea’s all-time greats, but this record speaks to his penchant for finding the net in big moments.
7. Gabriel Martinelli – 31 Games Scored In (W27 D4)
As far as Gabriel Martinelli is concerned, he is one of the most exciting youngsters at Arsenal, and his record in front of the goal has already propelled him onto this impressive list.
In the case of Martinelli, in the 31 games he has scored, he has never lost when he finds the back of the net.
He has been instrumental for Arsenal in their rise under Mikel Arteta, scoring goals at very vital periods that keep his team on course to win the game. Speed, creativity, and lethal finishing make Martinelli one for the future.
Every Arsenal fan will want his run of games without losing when scoring to go on forever.
8. Øyvind Leonhardsen – 28 Games Scored In (W21 D7)
Øyvind Leonhardsen is a Norwegian midfielder who may not ring in many minds currently in the Premier League, but back in the late 90s, he was an essential ingredient of Wimbledon, Liverpool, and Tottenham.
His knack for suddenly popping up with important goals in midfield saw him make this list, having scored in 28 games without losing.
Leonhardsen was thus versatile and a valuable catch for the three clubs which he played for, even though he wasn’t one of those prolific goal-scorers-his goals were often decisive: in the 28 games he found the net, his teams never suffered defeat-a knack of sorts to change fortunes around whenever it mattered.
9. Pedro – 27 Games Scored In (W26 D1)
Pedro’s time in the Premier League at Chelsea was short but very effective. The Spanish winger had previously enjoyed success with Barcelona, bringing his winning mentality to Stamford Bridge, and his record when scoring is nothing short of remarkable.
Pedro scored in 27 Chelsea games in which they won 26 and only drew once, giving an astonishing 96.3% win percentage—the highest in this list.
Pedro is remembered for his excellent speed and technical ability with the added feature of having a great eye for goal, and when he did score, Chelsea were pretty much guaranteed to take home all three points.
10. Antonio Valencia – 23 Games Scored In (W22 D1)
Antonio Valencia is the Ecuadorian wideman who turned out to be a real Manchester United stalwart.
His qualities that were most identified include his pace, strength, and crossing ability, but very few people mention one impressive thing: how efficient he was in front of goal. Every time Valencia scored, it was a precursor of good things to come for his side.
He scored in 23 different Premier League games; his team won 22 and drew just one.
Of course, he played an integral part for Manchester United during Sir Alex Ferguson’s later years while helping the club to keep up their dominance in English football.
11. Georginio Wijnaldum – 23 Games Scored In (W19 D4)
Wijnaldum has been one of the most consistent midfielders for Liverpool during the rise under Jürgen Klopp.
The Dutchman has scored in 23 Premier League outings for the Reds, of which Liverpool have won 19 and drawn four. Wijnaldum wasn’t just a workhorse in midfield; he also delivered goals in big moments.
Indeed, he had scored so many important goals in particular those games where Liverpool needed a result. Of course, that made him an indispensable part of Klopp’s title-winning side. Wijnaldum may not be donning the reds anymore, but his legacy as a winner is intact.

12. Marcos Alonso – 23 Games Scored In (W17 D6)
Marcos Alonso is an attack-minded left-back who netted in 23 Premier League games with Chelsea coming out on top in 17 and drawing six. The power of the Spaniard from the free kicks, long-range shots, and well-timed runs in the box made him an invaluable asset for Chelsea.
While Alonso may not be the most defensively solid left-back, his contributions going forward, especially in terms of scoring, ensured that Chelsea rarely lost when he was on the scoresheet.
13. Seamus Coleman – 22 Games Scored In (W17 D5)
The list is completed by Everton’s Seamus Coleman, with the Irish right-back netting in 22 Premier League games, with his team never losing when he’s found the net, winning 17 and drawing five.
In recent years, the team has had its fair share of struggle, but particularly when scoring, the contributions of Coleman have brought much-needed stability.
This unbeaten record by Coleman is all the more impressive because of the level of consistency and loyalty he has shown to Everton.
