  • Gunnersaurus Rex – Arsenal

The brain behind the creation of Rex was from an eleven years old Peter Lovell, who came up with the idea of a Dinosaur being the club’s mascot and the little Peter got the inspiration from a movie titled “Jurassic Park”.

More than 23 years since its inception, Rex has lifted the spirits of the crowd both at Highbury as well as the Emirates where he was an omnipresent figure during both Arsenal’s triumphant moments featuring in every of their matchday parades, but recently Arsenal parted ways with Gunnersaurus due to economic crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Simpsons are the longest-running American sitcom on television ever since its debut in 1989, which comes in five different languages and is quite popular all around the globe, and while Zenit round off the club’s transfer business in 2014 they decided to make the sitcom character their official mascot.
