Arsenal lethal forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang insists he would only get better in the wake of making a big statement on his debut for the Premier League club.
Aubameyang, a £56million arrival from Borussia Dortmund on deadline day. And, despite having been down with flu in the week, he started against the Toffees along with former Dortmund team-mate Henrikh Mkhitaryan and marked his Arsenal debut with a goal in a 5-1 thrashing of Everton Saturday.
The Gabonese international may have shown good signs on his debut, but the 28-year-old said there is more to come.
Aubameyang said via the club official site:
“Of course I was really happy,”
“We won the game in the first half and the second was a bit different. We are all happy.
“Is there more to come from me? I think so.”

The win was exactly what Arsenal needed after Tuesday’s 3-1 defeat to Swansea, and has gone up against all the pressures that come with Arsenal Legend Thierry Henry’s number 14 shirt, Aubameyang got what he needed as well. His goal, splendidly taken from Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s pass, guaranteed his Arsenal career started in an ideal way
The 28-year old did not have the same number of touches as his team-mates – just 25 through the span of the hour and a half but Arsenal will be empowered by his impact without the ball. His pace and movement were instrumental in giving Everton’s defense a headache, opening up the gaps which Mkhitaryan, Ramsey and Mesut Ozil so joyfully exploited.
