A win over Morocco today will see the Super Sand Eagles book a slot in next year FIFA Beach Soccer World in the Bahamas.
The Sand Eagles triumphed in their last two games, after having lost to the Francophone side Cote d’Ivoire in the group stage of the competition, the Eagles beat Ghana 4-3 on Thursday night.
However, the North African started their group stage game with a loss in the opening match of the competition against Senegal but maintained winning momentum beating the defending Champions Madagascar, making a way to the semifinal stage of the competition.
Lagos state Commissioner for Information Mr Steve Ayorinde said all was set to showcase the tourism potential of the Centre of Excellence at the football fiesta.
“This event is a combination of many things. We are also bringing in entertainment just for people to relax since we are already in the Yuletide period. Lagos is noted for excellence in many areas and that will be reflected at the Eko Atlantic on Saturday (today),” Ayorinde said.
