Nigerian female U20 player Sophia Omidiji has finally signed a contract with a Belgian side KAA Gents.
The half-American who plays with PSV/FC Eindhoven women team in the Netherlands, relish the opportunity on plying her trade with the Belgian club and she’s confident the club with representing Belguim ladies at the UEFA Women’s Champions League.
“I hope to play Champions League football next season as KAA Gent are number one in the league right now ahead of Liege and Anderlecht, ” said Omidiji to allnigeriasoccer.com.
“It’s going to be an opportunity for me to learn organisation like KAA Gent and grow on an already good team. I cannot wait, truly excited by the opportunity. ”
Omidiji received her first call-up to represent Nigeria U2O team for the American World Cup U-20 qualification against DR Congo in Kinshasa, her father Mr Lateef Omidiji was born and raised in Nigeria an indigene of Ogun state while her mother is of descent
