Chairman of the League Management Committee (LMC) Sheu Dikko has charged over 100 youth club coaches, consisting of the youth team coaches of all the 20 Nigerian professional league clubs and others from the third tier Nationwide league, to make most of a coaching workshop, organized by the Spanish LaLiga and the LMC which was flagged off in Abuja on Saturday.
He congratulated those in attendance and advised them to ensure they learnt well from the clinic stating that the quality of the course would be beneficial to the participants. Dikko emphasised that the course would help the coaches to develop their coaching skills as well as Young players who would in the future make names for themselves in the NPFL and abroad.
The clinic which is part of the benefits of the pact signed by the LMC and the La Liga in 2016 was taken by the la Liga technical directors Oscar Bruzon and David Aznar and according to Dikko is expected to develop the style of play in the country’s football and as well rub off on the various national teams.
Dignitaries present at the opening ceremony with Dikko were the Technical Director of the NFF, represented by Assistant Director, Technical, Coach Siji Lagunju, Chief Operating Officer of the LMC, Salihu Abubakar, Chief Executive Officer of the Nationwide League One, Ahmed Kawu and Country Manager, LaLiga Nigeria, Mutiu Adepoju.
