Ahead of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar the first venue to host the tournament has been finished, including the establishment of cooling technology that was at the heart of Qatari’s bid for the tournament.
To begin with, the Stadium was first built in1976, Doha’s Khalifa International Stadium has been extended to occupy than 40,000 football loving fans and was widely redesigned at a reported sum of £70million.
The Qatar 2022 led committee said the highly vaunted cooling technology will keep the pitch at a temperature of 26 degrees Celsius and the stands at 24-28 degrees year-round while utilising 40 % less energy than any other cooling systems.
