MFM Fc midfielder Chukwuka Onuwa has summoned his teammates to secure the maximum three points in their Matchday 3 game of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) against the Hawks of Makurdi (Lobi Stars )on Sunday.
This comes after the team suffered a 4-0 defeat to Anambra Warriors on Wednesday, the creative midfielder is full of optimism as the club brace up to host Lobi Stars at ‘The Soccer Temple’ Agege Stadium in Lagos.
Speaking in an interview to the club’s website Mountaintopfc.com, Onuwa said:
“First and foremost I will like to appreciate our fans for their support and for their warm reception after our loss in Nnewi. Such will not repeat itself again.
“Our focus now is on the Lobi Stars game with the sole aim of recording the three crucial points as stake.
“Don’t forget that we played Lobi during the Gold Cup pre-season tournament in Ijebu-Ode and we also saw their game against Shooting Stars where they lost 2-0. Their approach on the field of play is not new to us.
“The head coach (Fidelis Ilechukwu) and his coaching crew have been working tirelessly for us to bounce back and I believe we will. We the players know the importance of the game and we have urged ourselves to go all out for victory,” said the MFM playmaker.
