MFM FC keeps their good run of form intact in the Nigeria Professional Football League, as the Olukoya Boys secured another valuable away point in one of their remarkable game against Wikki Tourists.
Wikki tourist ruled the game for 60 minutes as they heaped serious pressure on the MFM. Shammah Tanze softened the deadlock up in the 35th min of the game with a fine wrap up.
MFM FC’s youngster, Akanni Elijah, who made his first game in the NPFL spilt and dribbled past his Wikki defence and associated with John Okolie with a stunning pass, he was about to wickedly smash the ball into the net when the Ref blew his whistle for offside.
In the first half finished with the home side keeping their one-goal lead. Wikki proceeded from where they halted in the main half and they practically got a goal through Tanze, unfortunately, the striker’s header from Festus Umanah’s cross went wide.
The Olukoya Boys then appreciate a fine spell of good play, hanging passes together as they went ahead looking for the equaliser, dominating the game and their hard work paid off in the 58th min when Akanni started a counter-attack move from the center, teeing up Okolie with a pass, Okolie then laid the pass back to Okorom, smashing the ball past Wikki’s goalkeeper, Emeka Nwabulu.

While,Enyimba FC resumes back with a 2-0 win, over oriental rivals, FC Ifeanyi Ubah in Wednesday’s Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) rescheduled game in Calabar with Captain Mfon Udoh, getting on the scoresheets and providing an assist on another goal to help the seven-time champions get back their lost momentum in their title crusade after failing to get a win in over five games.
Joseph Osadiaye scored the opener before Udoh made it 2-0 with two minutes of normal time left to seal 3 points for the Aba-based club.
The win takes Enyimba to 8th position on the NPFL log with 18 points, while FC Ifeanyi Ubah stays only two points over the relegation zone.
