NPFL : ABS FC Players Talks Tough Ahead Of Enyimba Clash

Abubakar Bukola Saraki (ABS) players are talking intensely as they get ready to confront Enyimba International FC of Aba in Ilorin on Sunday for match day 14 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) clash.

A portion of the players who talked on Friday in Ilorin includes Chukwuebuka Anaekwe, whose arrangement for the game is for his teammates to demonstrate the real spirit of the genuine ABS FC players, which is to battle down till a result is produce.

The team’s captain, Abdullahi Boje, had prior in the week encouraged his teammates to demonstrate a convincing character enough to defeat the seven-time champion on Sunday.

“We are disappointed about the result in Shagamu against Remo Stars on Sunday but we want to make amend against Enyimba.

“No doubt Enyimba is a big side but none of us will remember that on Sunday,” Anaekwe said.

To Ibrahim Ahmed, the match day 14 encounter with Enyimba is a must win and the players will approach it just like that.

“We are aware of the threat they pose to us but I believe we are up to the task and we will beat them by God grace.

“I think every day how to help this great team achieve successes because we operate like one family.

“The boss (Henry Makinwa), has brought a lot of belief into us, he made us believe we can win anywhere if we show better character and mentality,” Ahmed said.

Injuries to some key players forced ABS coach to change his team into distinctive positions on matchday 13 against Remo Stars. however, the former Real Sociedad of Spain forward is supported with a return of Anaekwe.

The UEFA Pro authorised coach said his players are cheerful to have the People’s Elephant and communicated the expectation that they will demonstrate a character sufficient to overpower the Gbenga Ogunbote led side.

ABS FC stands the better shot of the two sides, the Saraki Boys have won two of its last five games. The Ilorin based side drew 2-2 with Sunshine Stars in Akure, got a 1-0 win over Wikki Tourist in Ilorin and lost 1-0 to Enugu Rangers at the Nnamdi
Azikiwe Stadium.

The Saraki Boys ricocheted once again from the match day 11 misfortune to Rangers with a 1-0 triumph over Kastina United in the match day 12 preceding a 3-0 battering in the hands of Remo Stars in Shagamu on match day 13.
