After lots of anticipation about one of Africa richest businessman Aliko Dangote who has many times notified football fans about his sheer interest to buy a huge stake in Arsenal FC, Ex-Nigerian international believes Dangote can also invest in Nigeria football.
Ex-international Henry Nwosu believes the real solution to the never ending bad state of finances of the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) is the Football federation to reorganise and target its Marketing role towards attracting big investors and other rich Nigerians like Aliko Dangote.
If Aliko Dangote is interested in considering buying majority shares in English Premier League club Arsenal FC, then he can be convinced to invest a fraction of his wealth in Nigeria football,” Nwosu told Vanguard.
He blamed the football Federation for its lack to manage funds, after failing to meet several financial obligations of the national teams, and most recently to the Super Falcons teams who had to protest publicly for their unpaid bonuses and wages.
Nwosu insisted that looking out for the right people who are willing to assist, will help tackle the financial issue the Nation is facing, and also advised the Football Federation to make a change of their marketing targets and shouldn’t depend on government.
