Niger Tornadoes chairman Honourable Adamu Aliyu has challenged the “Ikon Allah” players to beat the defending champions Rangers international in Sunday’s NPFL tie and go home with a whopping sum of N500,000.
Rangers and Niger Tornadoes will head into the Matchday 5 game after what could pass for convenient midweek outing as Tornadoes thrash Wikki Tourist 2-0 while Rangers held Akwa United to a goalless draw.
The Matchday 5 themed “Super Sunday battle” at the Cathedral will not be a child’s play and will definitely be full of thrills and tactical fireworks, while the defending champions are trying hard to let the Cathedral a never lose atmosphere and the challenged and money-motivated Tornadoes will surely play their heart out to secure three points and pocket the promised legal tender.
Tornadoes might not just play based on the promise, but the club’s chairman have been the lubricant that ignites their forceful engine to roar after Hon Adamu earlier challenged the team to beat Wikki Tourist for N200, 000 and they did redeem their dividends after thrashing the visitors 2-0 at the Bako Kontagora Stadium.
While addressing the players, Hon Adamu emphasis on the need to boost the player’s morale to get the best out of them, stating that the player’s welfare is important.
“Am happy with your performance, the team has really improved from our last two matches played in Port-Harcourt and Lokoja. Am sure if we build on these last two games we would carry the day in Enugu”, he added.
