LMC Sanction Fc Ifeanyi Ubah N9m Over Match Boycott

League Management company (LMC) has slammed FC Ifeanyi Ubah with a huge sum of N9M for their indiscipline act, abandoning a match in play in the Opening fixture of the NPFL against Kano Pillars on Saturday.
According to LMC, the sanction is a move to serve as a deterrent to other clubs who may want to involve in such awful act in the future and to keep discipline and sanity in the League and also maintain the cordial relationship with the moneybags who sponsor the League.

Ifeanyi Ubah has been charged for breaching the series of rules B13.26, A7.3. C1.1 and B13.46.1, following the club forfeiting a game in play, the club was charged with four counts handing a suspended sentence of deduction of a total of 8 points if the incidents ever happened again.

Jonathan Igwe FC Ifeanyi official and Yaw Preko were also sanctioned following the review of the performances of the match officials by NFF.

The Anambra Warriors was also charged under Rule A7.3 punishable under Rule C1.2.1.2 arising from their hindering and infringing on the fulfilment of the broadcast contract of the league.

According to the official site of NPFL.ng the notice to the club state::

“Consequently, the LMC intends to exercise its summary jurisdiction, taking into cognisance your public apology, forfeiture of three points and three goals accruing from the match, which shall be credited to its opponent – Kano Pillars FC”.

“Forfeit three (3) points from the points accruable to the Club, the execution of which shall be suspended for a probationary period of the remainder of the season”.

“Pay a fine of Three Million Naira only (N3,000,000.00)”.
