Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has revealed that his captain Jordan Henderson is unlikely to be ready for the huge English Premier League (EPL) clash against title rival Arsenal on Saturday evening with the race for UEFA Champions League (UCL) qualification also at stake when both sides lock horns.
Former Mainz 05 and Borussia Dortmund boss Klopp made this known in his post- match press conference after his side suffered a disappointing 3-1 defeat at the hands of struggling EPL champions Leicester City, who had sacked their title-winning manager Claudio Ranieri last week Thursday and were led by caretaker coach Craig Shakespeare, at the King Power Stadium on Monday night.
England international midfielder Jordan Henderson has been a steady performer for Liverpool and his calming influence in midfield was sorely missed in the loss to Leicester City after watching from the sidelines because of a heel injury. There is every likelihood he won’t be ready for the visit of Arsenal on Saturday with both sides looking to steal a march on each other on the table.
