Leicester City is interested in landing the highly versatile Nigerian international Wilfred Ndidi. The 19-year old who plays as a defensive midfielder has been in fine form for the Belgian side Genk this season.

Ndidi who was part of the Nigerian team that feature in the U17 African Championship, but was excluded as he didn’t make the competition due to MRI test fail, a year later he joined the U20 team making the bedrock of the midfield and was later called up by NFF and he makes his senior debut on October 8, 2015, in a friendly game against DR Congo.
The Genk midfielder exploited the scene after his first full season in 2015/2016, playing originally as a centre back, but the player’s wide range of passing and shooting redeployed his role to a defensive midfielder.
With Ndidi reputation, the Premier League outfit is confident of sealing the deal which could rise up to £16 million and are ready to put a finishing touch to seal the deal with the Belgian side and land Ndidi in January.
