Former Manchester United midfielder Lee Sharpe has slammed Romelu Lukaku after a string of poor performances for the Red Devils.
Subsequent to Old Trafford for a huge fee last season from Goodison Park, the Belgian hot shot got off to a flying start to life at the Theatre of Dream.
However, from that point forward, he has failed to hit the highs of that underlying spell in Red Devils shirt, regardless of being on incredible goalscoring form for De Rode Duivels.
Lukaku battled again last night in the match against Juventus in the Champions League, and former United midfielder Lee Sharpe has criticized him vigorously for his poor performance.
“Lukaku dribbles like he’s barefoot tryna avoid glass on the floor,” one fan joked.
Sharpe speaking to Talksport :
“I’ve never seen a centre-forward with such a bad touch. If your centre-forward can’t hold the ball up, it makes it a very hard game.”
“He’s saying he’s played a lot of football at the World Cup and since and that he’s feeling it. I think the best thing would be to give him a rest. Send him off on holiday for a couple of weeks.”
Shockingly Lukaku’s poor run of form has come considerably more under the magnifying lens due to the club’s own struggles this season.
