Nigerian winger Henry Onyekuru has revealed that he hopes to follow in the footstep of former France international Thierry Henry by joining the North London club.
The sensational teenage forward who has been in fine form for Belgian side (KAS Eupen ) having scored 16 goals this season revealed he’s so attracted to play in the EPL and in the Champions League
Onyekuru admits he was inspired by former Genk midfielder (Ndidi) move to English Premier League club Leicester City in the January transfer window
Speaking to Het Niewusblad he said ” I believe I have the level to one day play in the Champions League”
“I look at what happened to Wilfred Ndidi, we come from the same region in Nigeria and meet up regularly.His transfer to Leicester City is an example for me, the Premier League is my dream league although I would rather go to Arsenal” Onyekuru added.
He also revealed that idol Thierry Henry is a player whom he has to acquire inspiration nd motivation from when he was young.
“Football was my relaxation after school with my friends, we watched the Premier League almost every weekend.
“I’m a huge fan of Arsenal, and Thierry Henry is my idol, now I’m a professional football player, I’ll try to copy him as much as possible.
“I look back to the games I saw as a boy, but I also regularly watch videos on YouTube to see hoe he did certain things.
