News originating from the Super Eagles training ground this morning indicate that Gernot Rohr took the players through an intensive training session which was unique in relation to what they were having some time recently.
The news affirmed that the Super Eagles go under intensive training with a very high level which looked as though Rohr was building a machine for the Bafana Bafana clash.
According to Owngoalnigeria.com, the S/Africa reporter James Robert. who watched the Eagles training session this morning says the level which the players performed in today’s training session should give his team a cause for concern.
” My brother I saw poetry in motion, they are swift in the way they play. The pace and the intensity is scary. I’m happy our team didn’t see today’s session else they would have given up like me”,
” I was of the opinion that will cause an upset in Uyo, but based on what I saw today, in my heart the game has been won and lost. Nigeria will no doubt win, we don’t have the quality to stand this intense style of play. It’s scary.
” We (South Africa) will one day get there but for now, we have to say it the way it is. Nigeria are by far the better team at the moment. Anything can happen like they say in football, not in this case I think”.
Meanwhile, the training sessions of the Super Eagles produce no outright winner in training matches with today’s encounter ending in a stalemate after yesterday’s game that finished 1-1.
Gernot Rohr divided the players into two groups and watched on as the players slug it out for a shirt ahead of Saturday’s clash against South Africa at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium Uyo.
The purpose behind the goalless scoreline can’t be far fetched from the way that the preferred forwards of the team such as Moses Simon, Alex Iwobi, Kelechi Iheanacho and Oghenekaro Etebo were up against top defenders who are favoured alternatives for Gernot Rohr.
The pitch of the stadium has been announced prepared for the clash and its all looking sway green and smooth.
