Germany youth prospect Fabian Macauley Senniger has revealed his desire to represent Nigeria instead of Germany and believes he can help Nigeria win the World Cup
The Full back who recently joined Hannover 96 youth academy said his father wants him to follow his uncle footstep and represent Germany, but Senninger desire is to wear the Green and White Super Eagle jersey and represent Nigeria.
Speaking in an interview with Channels TV, Senninger said :“My father is saying I should play for Germany like my uncle, but me myself personal I want to play for Nigeria, there are so many good players in Germany and it’s easy to win the World Cup with Germany but I want to win the World Cup with Nigeria and get the first star”.
The 20-year old full-back has made 16 appearances with two goals as a fullback and sometimes play the role of a right winger.
While Super Eagle head coach Gernot Rohr has expressed the lack of options at right back for the Eagles, Senninger might come in handy to provide a steel for the void if the player makes much-anticipated move to represent the country.
