Chelsea Sets Sight On Europe’s Hottest Goal-Poacher

Krzysztof Piatek is Europe’s hottest goal-poacher and Chelsea FC are reportedly showing a growing interest in sealing the move of in-form Genoa striker ahead of other major clubs.
His move to Genoa for four-and-a-half million euros last summer went under the radar, but now he is on top form after a number outstanding performances. As of now, there are those who think of him as the apparent heir to Lewandowski’s position as Poland’s best forward.
The Poland international has had a wonderful season in front of goal until this point, he is likewise noted for his aerial ability, a powerful strike and his responsiveness in the 18-yard box, netting 12 goals in seven games in all competition, and this has alerted several European giants to him as a conceivably less expensive option for Maurizio Sarri led side.
With Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud failing to inspire Blues fans, Piatek may prove to be a welcome addition at Stamford Bridge.
Despite only being his first season with the Italian club, rumours are already suggesting multiple European clubs are prepared to cough up large sums of money for the 23-year-old.
And, not surprisingly, it didn’t take long for the Premier League to know about the player’s exceptional talent. As per reports from ‘Teamtalk’ and ‘Calciomercato.it’, Chelsea could launch an offer for Piatek in the January transfer window.
