Rivers United defeated Mali’s AS Real Bamako 4-0 at the Yakubu Gowon Stadium courtesy of Benard Ovoke opener in the 29th minute before Esosa Igbinoba’s strike in the 57th makes it 2-0 after securing a pass from Ivorian forward Guy Kuemian.
Benard Ovoke gets Rivers third goal from another spot kick, while Esosa also got on the scoresheet again as he fired home the fourth goal just seven minutes away from stoppage time.
Rivers United are to face Sudan’s Al -Merrick in the next round of the competition.

Ifeanyi Ubah had won the first leg of the encounter by 1-0 at home only to lose by same faith in Egypt, the game was decided by penalty after a 1-1 aggregate, the visitors lost 3-0 losing all their spot kicks
