English Premier League side Crystal Palace have asked Alan Pardew to step down after just one win in 11 League matches.

Palace sit 17th on the league table swimming in the relegation water, the club has had series of bad run under Pardew’s leadership, the club issued out a statement on Thursday afternoon asking the Alan Pardew to step down as manager of the club.

Palace Chairman Steve Parish said “I would like to put on record our sincere gratitude for the tremendous service Alan has given us, both in his time here as manager and previously as a player.

“Following a fantastic second half of 2014/15, the 2015/16 season culminated in only narrowly missing out on winning the FA cup as well as securing our Premier League place for a record-breaking fourth time. During his tenure Alan’s hard work and dedication were without question, he has improved so many areas of the Club and we wish him the very best for the future.”
“With games now coming thick and fast over the holiday period the Club are hoping to put someone in place as quickly as possible but have nothing to say about a replacement at this time.”

Alan Pardew, who began his role as Reading’s caretaker in 1998, his first match was against Huddersfield Town which the club lost 0-2, before managing the club between 1999-2003, in the wake of 2003/04 season Westham appoint Pardew as their new manager but later resigned after Reading reject West Ham permission to appoint the coach .Eventually an agreement was later struck allowing Alan Pardew to become manager and in the 2006/07 season, criticised for seeing West Ham through the club’s worst run of defeats in over 70 years and also having an awful exit from the UEFA cup in the first round,he was sacked following the club’s 4-0 defeat to Bolton Wanderers .
However, he has managed numbers of Premier League clubs, Charlton Athletic 2006-2008, Southampton 2009-2010, Newcastle United 2010-2014 before moving to Crystal Palace on January 3, 2015, signing a three-and-half deal with the club, his first match in charge Palace won 4-0 away to Dover Athletic in the FA Cup third round ,and his first league match was also a 2-1 win over Tottenham,

Although Alan Pardew run of 2015/06 season started on a good run, winning over teams such as Chelsea, Liverpool and other teams.but things turn sour for the manager after having a poor run and were asked to step down as manager on Thursday, December 22.

The 55-year old said “I would just like to take the opportunity to thank everybody at Crystal Palace for their fantastic support,” said Pardew in a statement released by the club.

“In particular, big thanks to the players, who gave me absolutely everything and Steve Parish and his board. Personally, I have a lot of good feelings for this football club and am sad that my time there has ended.

“I feel that I have a special bond with the club and hope that hasn’t been affected. I wish everybody associated with the club the best of luck in the future including, of course, the fans, who have been magnificent.”
