As several teams prepare for the second stanza of the Nigeria Women Premier League (NWPL), Bayelsa Queens midfielder Tessy Biawho believes the team is up to the task and fully prepared for the second round.
Since moving from Nasarawa Amazons toward the start of the season, Biawho has been an essential addition to the Yenegoa based club, contributing three goals so far in the campaign. For her wonderful performances in the first round of the season, she was as of late one of four winners at the club’s mid-season award ceremony that was held on June 5 in Yenegoa.

“The way we are training, I think we are up to the task. I believe we are ready for the second round and by the Grace of God we will come out victorious we will play more than we played in the first round,” the former Flamingoes captain stated.
“I believe in my teammates and even in the training. There is an improvement and we will be ahead of every other team.”
Bayelsa Queens are currently third in Group A heading into the second round of the season and they know they need to be in the top two to qualify for the end of season Super Four.
On resumption of the season, they play hosts to unbeaten defending champions, Rivers Angels on June 21 in Nembe.
