French Ligue 1 side AS Monaco have reportedly tabled a bid for hot in demand Nigerian forward Samuel Kalu who at present plays for Belgian top-flight side K.A.A. Gent.
The bid from Monaco came in towards the start of the month but Gent are yet to react to the offer as they are likewise thinking over potential interest from two Bundesliga side such as Hoffenheim and Bayern Leverkusen.
It is believed that the forward lean towards a move to the German Bundesliga but the teams keen on his services are yet to follow up their interest with an offer, in spite of the fact that that could occur in the summer transfer window.
Monaco are however enthused about wrapping up his signing as their bid is rumoured to be close Gent’s valuation of the forward which is around €20m.
However, K.A.A. Gent are careful about losing both Moses Simon and Kalu in the same window but a bidding war for the later could drive them to have a rethink and consider relinquishing the Nigerian duo.
