English Premier League (EPL) side Arsenal has reportedly been linked with a summer swoop for the Napoli duo of Lorenzo Insigne and Faouzi Ghoulam with the Gunners keen to strengthen again after what has turned out to be a disappointing season until now.
According to The Sun, reports from Italy claim the North London side are seriously considering a summer move for Insigne and Ghoulam, who have helped their Napoli side maintain the hunt for UEFA Champions League (UCL) qualification next season with the club currently occupying the last UCL place (3rd spot) behind leaders Juventus and AS Roma.
The report was also seconded by popular news outlet ESPN FC, who revealed that 25- year old Insigne could cost Arsene Wenger’s side around £45m with the Napoli native still contracted to the club until 2019. Italian international Insigne has already scored nine times this season for the club.
While Algerian international defender Ghoulam, Arsenal will have to see off league leaders Chelsea in the battle for him, if the club is serious about replacing their ageing Spanish left-back Nacho Monreal, who has endured a lot of below-par performances this season.
