Ex-Super Eagles assistant coach Daniel Amokachi has been named as the Technical Director of a Finnish club, JS Hercules and his appointment is to produce quick results, the club announced via their official site
In April 2007, he quit his part as Super Eagles assistant coach before he renamed to Super Eagles as an assistant coach to Shuaibu Amodu on 10 April 2008, and after that to Stephen Keshi.
Amokachi oversaw NPFL club Nasarawa United and later Enyimba Aba and In 2015, he managed Ifeanyi Ubah, leaving following five weeks in the post.
The Bull had been the been the manager of the club and was in control for over a year now, however, things have change direction for the 44-year-old who has been elevated to the Technical Director position as JS Hercules believes he will fill serve a better purpose there given his solid personal brand and global connections.
“This decision enables me to continue with my media work and convey more international recognition to the club, where the coaching part constrained me in a few viewpoints from doing what I can accomplish for the club to push forward,” Amokachi was quoted by the club’s site.
“It was hard for me and for the players but we as a whole realise this is better for the team. “Despite everything, I still go to the training sessions and I will keep on helping them with one on one sessions to enhance their football skills,” he added.
