Coutinho verged on multiplying Liverpool’s lead after 30 minutes, but Petr Cech figured out the strike and tip the ball over the bar.
Liverpool pressure was just too much for the visitors cutting Arsenal’s defender apart and Mane was unopposed to smash Klopp’s led side into a merited 2-0 preferred advantage, and Coutinho even could have made it 3 just before half time but the Brazilian shot was directly at Cech.
However, Wenger’s team all of a sudden seemed as though they had a mountain to move in the second half, and Wenger had no choice than to bring in Chilean forward Sanchez to attempt and infuse some attacking prowess on Liverpool defence.
