Super Falcons striker Asisat Oshoala has become the latest Nigerian player to join Chinese moneybags after completing her move from Arsenal to Dalian Quanjian in China
Asisat who joins Arsenal Ladies in January 2016 was conspicuously missing in the Gunners pre-season campaign, prompting speculation of a possible move to Chinese league.
Oshoala won the Women’s FA Cup with Arsenal Ladies at her first year with the club, also registering 6 goals at the Africa Women’s Cup of Nation where she helped the Falcons to lift a record eighth AWCON title.
The 22-year-old earlier claimed that the speculation existed in the imagination of those reporting such rumours.
I’m 100% at my club, Arsenal Ladies, I do not know the source of the report that I’m moving to China,” she told SuperSport.
“I’m 100% Arsenal Ladies nothing more than that I’m on a break in Nigeria, a longer break after a major championship, Africa Women Cup of Nations in Cameroon.”
It’s not new to football faithful how players make a sudden transfer move after claiming they’re not moving away from a particular club.
But According to this Chinese website, she is expected to sign up for Dalian Quanjian. Dalian is situated North of Beijing and is managed by former PSG coach, Farid Benstiti.
Chinese club Dalian Quanjian have announced the signing of Super Falcons striker, and She has already started training with Dalian Quanjian.
Oshoala will join Nigeria’s star like John Mikel, Anthony Ujah, John Owoeri, Odion Jude Ighalo, Obafemi Martins and host of other professional footballers that have moved to the Chinese League in recent times
