Wikki Tourists forward Ahmad Usman has polled the highest number of votes for the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) VAT Wonder Goal for Matchday 24.
The Wikki player finished in the voting procedure for the best goal of the matchday under review ahead of Andrew Ikefe of Niger Tornadoes and Musa Suleman of Katsina United.
Usman was heads and shoulders ahead of Ikefe and Suleman amid the voting process on the NPFL official site and Twitter handle, getting 42 percent and 60.6 percent of the total votes on Twitter and the site respectively.
Finishing in the second position with 30 percent of the votes on Twitter and 33.8 percent on the site while 5.6 percent on the site and 28 percent on Twitter voted in favor of Suleman.
Usman’s goal was the third for Wikki in a Matchday 24 encounter against Niger Tornadoes which the Bauchi club secure a 3-1 win over the visiting side.
Usman goal was a wondrous thing as he grabbed a pass from his teammate on the left channel just after the half line, and dashed down the left flank into Niger Tornadoes defense before cutting inside his marker to set up himself.
The striker made no mistake by rifling home into the bottom corner to the Tornadoes goalkeeper’s left side to extend Wikki’s lead at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium in Bauchi.
The winner of the VAT Wonder Goal 5 will get a cash prize of N150,000, half of which will be dominated to his preferred charity situated in Bauchi State
Ayo Saka of Rivers United, Ubong Friday of Akwa United, Salefu Ochowechi of Remo Stars and FC Ifeanyiubah’s Seka Pascal have won the matchday VAT Wonder Goal this season.
