Nigerian striker Tunde Adeniji scored for Levski Sofia as his Bulgarian topflight crushed Radnik Surdulica 1-0 in an international club friendly game on Saturday.
Having lost 1-0 in a warm-up game on Tuesday against Cherno More Varna, the 21-year-old scored in the six minutes to guarantee Nikolay Mitov’s side defeat their Serbian adversaries.
Tunji extraordinary performances prompted his promotion to Sunshine Stars toward the start of the 2013–14 season. He was required to understudy the club’s main striker, Dele Olorundare in his debut season in the top flight, but he surpassed all expectation and scored 13 leagues goals to rise as the club’s top scorer toward the finish of the season.
The former Sunshine Stars joined the Bulgarian outfit in 2016, scoring seven objectives in 37 appearances to help them secured a Uefa Europa League spot last season.
He will be hoping to expand on his scoring form as his side face Sutjeska of Montenegro in the first leg of their Uefa Europa League play-off game on June 29
