Super Eagles Likely To Rest Victor Moses Ahead Of S/Africa Clash



Moses likely to offer time to rest after an exhausting season, which will finish up on May 27, when he confronts fellow Super Eagles forward Alex Iwobi in the FA Cup final at Wembley.

Iwobi has been named by  Gernot Rohr for the preparation camp that begins on May 24 on the Mediterranean island of Corsica and takes on the French island’s national team two days after.

The Arsenal forward will join the team after the FA Cup final, with Moses giving days to join up with the squad days before Nigeria host Bafana at Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo on June 10.

Meanwhile, Super Eagles Manager Gernot Rohr did not pick Daniel Akpeyi of Chippa United among the goalkeepers, despite the fact that he called him up for an international friendly game in March. Nigeria’s squad include four NPFL based players, while the rest carry out their specialty in Europe.
