Super Eagles and Hapoel Be’er Sheva midfielder John Ogu has been arrested in Israel for professedly driving under the influence of alcohol.

The driver’s permit of Ogu has since been suspended for 30 days, as indicated by the report. Referring to Israeli media, Ogu was arrested on Friday when he failed a standard liquor test after he was halted by the police.

He is relied upon to be sanctioned by his club Hapoel Be’er Sheva after the Israeli side learnt of the episode.

The midfielder has been having a decent time in Israel, as he has won back—to-back titles and furthermore played in the Champions League and Europa League after he career seemed to have slowed down in Portugal.
