The dynamic trio of Stephen Odey, Sikiru Olatunbosun, and Chukwuka Onuwa gave MFM FC a 3-2 victory over Katsina United in their matchday 31 clash at the Agege Township Stadium on Monday.
The tie was moved from Sunday to Monday because of the heavy down pour on the pitch meant the Soccer Temple couldn’t be used for Football on the day.

Stephen Odey returned the favour he received from Sikiru Olatunbosun by teeing his strike partner up for his goal and MFM FC’s second 14 minute after the first goal.
At the end of the first half, Stephen Odey and Sikiru Olatunbosun goals gave the hosts a comfortable 2-0 lead.
The second half was more like the first half but Destiny Ashadi was wrecking havoc on MFM FC defense and on the 69th minute he pulled one back for the visitors through a well-taken free-kick.
There was more to come for the visitors who subbed in Obinna Eleje in the 72nd minutes only for him to score 6 minutes after his introduction through another free kick.
Just when the visitors were settling into the game and looking to secure the only away win in matchday 31, the hosts peg them back when the “other threat” in the MFM FC squad Chukwuka Onuwa tapped in from Okorom’s pass. His goal came almost immediately after the visitors scored their equalizer. The victory put MFM FC back to the second place with 52 points from 31 games just 3 points behind league leaders Plateau United.
