Franck Ribery played the viable joke moments before smashing in a free-kick as the Bayern Munich forward shamelessly loosened the match official’s bootlace.
The Frenchman bowed down to put the ball on the turf 25 yards from goal, before unpretentiously coming over and pulling a lace off from female official Bibiana Steinhaus’ boot.
Luckily for the 34-year-old, Steinhaus saw the clever side, putting on a show to criticize him with a slap on the back.
Bibiana Steinhaus took the joke well as she pretended to reprimand the Frenchman
The geniality humour was also due because of the way that the episode happened with Bayern 3-0 up in their DFB Cup first round tie against Chemnitzer.
Ribery at that point included a fourth specifically after his unexpected handy joke, twisting an effective free-kick over the divider and out the grip of the goalkeeper.
Mats Hummels at that point rounded off the defeat by scoring the fifth in a game ruled by the German champions.
