Rangers have slammed a staggering sum of Five million Naira on attacking midfielder Chimezie Amanfor
Chimezie Amanfor joined Rangers international from arch-rival Enyimba after refusing to honour the contract legal proceedings before joining Abia Warriors for the 2016/2017 Nigeria Professional Football League season, but the Enugu based club insist the Warriors will have to pay the sum N5million before they club could grant the move
An official of Abia Warriors reveals that Rangers claimed they pour out N4m to secure Chimezie’s clearance from “The People’s Elephant” in 2014/2015 season and therefore the Warriors should pay N5m if they want the player to pen a deal with them.
According to reports, Chimezie may leave as a free agent as it was claimed that “The Flying Antelopes” are allegedly owing the player about three month’s salaries, a short moral lesson for Rangers to rearrange their slam on the Warriors and settle the issue with fairness.
“What this means is that if Rangers failed to clear him before the mid-season transfer window, the player will become a free agent”, the official stated.
