As indicated by reports in France, Ligue 1 side Paris Saint-Germain are hoping to lure Chelsea manager Antonio Conte to the French capital next summer if Unai Emery’s side fails to reach Champions League semi-final.
Emery’s deal at PSG will expire towards the end of the season, and the club won’t offer the Spanish boss another contract in the event that he fails to reach the semi-final stages of the UEFA Champions League, as indicated by ‘Le Parisien‘.
Following PSG whopping out an enormous £198m on Brazilian star Neymar and securing an expensive loan move for Kylian Mbappe, which will be made permanent for £166m next summer, they have high expectations for their team. And, should Emery not able to meet those expectations, Conte is apparently the perfect candidate to have his spot.
The French daily paper report that PSG has reached Conte about the chance of the former Juventus manager taking the reigns in the French capital from the start of next season.
