Barcelona has secured the signing of Benfica right back Nelson Semedo for a reported of €30 million after a successful medical on Friday.
Barcelona welcome the Portugal international with a short video on their official Twitter page, a montage of the player wearing the Barca strip, in four different languages.
Nelson Semedo moved toward becoming Barcelona top priority after it turned out to be clear they couldn’t get the services Arsenal’s Hector Bellerin.
Barca declared on Thursday that they had reached a deal for the Portuguese after their transfer director traveled to Lisbon to negotiate down Benfica initial lofty €50m valuation.
The 23-year old right back, who has six caps for Portugal, is presently in Barcelona and will join up with his new teammates for Friday night’s training session.
He’s Ernesto Valverde’s third signing this summer following the arrival of Gerard Deulofeu and centre-back Marlon.
