MK Dons have signed Nigeria midfielder Omogbolahan (Gboly) Ariyibi from Nottingham Forest on a season-long loan.
Omogbolahan Ariyibi is an America Footballer of Nigerian descent Born in Arlington, Virginia in the United States, Ariyibi began his youth career at English club Southampton in 2005 subsequent to being spotted playing for Oxford youth side Quarry Rovers.
He got through the youth ranks with the first team regulars, the likes of Luke Shaw and James Ward-Prowse before advancing through to the Under 21’s team. He was named as one of Southampton’s home-grown Under 21 players for the 2012–13 season on the official squad list.
The 22-year-old joined Nottingham Forest from Chesterfield in January for an undisclosed fee but never make any appearances for the Forest.
Ariyibi is regarded as being a player with potential at the City Ground, though Mark Warburton feels it is best for the Leeds Academy prospect to play regular football amid the coming season while gaining more experience.
