Arsenal delivered a genuine message of intent by sealing a record-breaking £52m deal for Olympique Lyon’s striker Alexandre Lacazette.
The Lyon forward will pocket £200,000-per-week wages to make him Gunners top earners at the Emirates. The 26-year-old complete the record-breaking move to the Emirates in the wake of undergoing a successful medical at the London Colney on Tuesday.
Lacazette was introduced with his new colleagues at the training ground and may join their pre-season outing to Australia and China respectively.

Arsene Wenger is pleased the Gunners have moved so fast to snap up the France international, with Gunners attacking force now upgraded, Wenger will set upon completing a super studded attacking four by adding a winger to Lacazette, Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez.
Lacazette scored more than 20 Ligue 1 goals in each of his last three seasons for Lyon and will end up plainly one of Arsenal’s most noteworthy earners alongside Mesut Ozil, Alexis Sanchez and Theo Walcott.
The Gunners still want to keep West Ham target Olivier Giroud, despite the fact that they are set up to let Lucas Perez, who joined from Deportivo La Coruna last August but managed to score just once in 11 Premier League matches leave the Emirates this summer.
Reacting to his second major signing of the summer, Gunners boss Arsène Wenger said: “We are very happy to have Alexandre join our group. He has shown over a number of years that he can score goals and that he is a very efficient finisher.
“As well, he has very interesting technical qualities and a strong character. So he is a guy who is a great addition for us, and someone who will help us challenge at the top level this season.”
However, we’ve seen the attacking trio of Bale, Benzema, Cristiano (BBC) at Real Madrid, Messi, Suarez, Neymar (MSN) at Barcelona, you can’t keep but wonder why these names are so potent in scoring goals and winning titles for their clubs,
