Former Barcelona and Brazil legend makes an emphatic stance saying he was a better and clinical goalscorer than both Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Despite the fact that Romario ended up praising the duo, he still insists that he is the best goal poacher than the Five & Four-times Ballon d’Ors winners saying:
“They have won heaps of trophies, but I can safely say that, despite their Ballon d’Ors, “In the box, I’m still better than both of them,” said the 51-year-old, before he finally acknowledges the pair’s undoubted quality.
Romario claimes to have scored more than 1,000 goals amid his professional, however, the larger part of those came in the Brazilian league which most wasn’t even recognized.
In quotes picked up by ‘TMW’, the former Barcelona star said: “When it comes to goals I will outscore the pair of them. I scored more than twice what they will manage.
“They both have different qualities to those that I had and today they are without a doubt the best in the world,” he explained. “Along with Neymar,” he added, eager to praise his fellow countryman.
