Lionel Messi has laughed off rumors circulating on media that he, Luis Suarez and Cesc Fabregas spent a whopping sum of £32,600 on champagne and pizza amid their get-together party in Ibiza.
The Barcelona duo of Messi, Suarez and the Chelsea midfielder are on vacation together on the Spanish island with their partners. And pictures have risen off the trio having a good time on the white island this week, with the superstars and their children having a good time on a yacht and on fly skis.
Messi’s fiancee Antonella Rocuzzo, alongside Suarez wife Sofia Balbi and Daniella Semaan, Fabregas’ better half, likewise hit Ibiza old town (Eivissa) for a night in the town.
As photos of the group at dinner were posted, reports claim that they had spent £32,600 (€37,330) at a local restaurant with a picture of the group and the long receipt as published in SunSports was circulated via social media by the ‘Juez Central’ account
Juez Central claim Messi and Co had piled on the cost with 41 bottles of Dom Perignon champagne – at a cost of £21,600 – and 27 pizzas. There were also five bottles of Macallan Amber bourbon on the receipt, at £480 per bottle, you won’t help but wonder this trio aren’t just football stars but super-drinkers if the reports were true.
However, Messi has decided to hit back, commenting himself on the post.
He expressed: “haha haha haha. What a way to talk s***. What a way to invent. The cutest thing is that people believe it.”
As indicated by SunSports, the Instagram account immediately deleted the picture of the receipt which contained Messi’s comment.
