According to reports in England, Jose Mourinho is looking to exploit the vulnerability over the eventual fate of Chelsea defender David Luiz by influencing a shock swoop for the Brazilian.
Luiz had a fall out with Chelsea boss Antonio Conte over tactical issues before the international break that culminated in him being dropped for the visit of United a fortnight prior.
Top media outlet ‘The Express‘ reports that the outrage from the fall- out has putrefied implying that even following two weeks, there is still significant ill-will between the pair.
That has left the 30-year-old considering his future and Mourinho, who already worked with the player when in charge of the ‘Blues’ is thinking about a reunion.
That comes as something of a surprise, with Luiz and Mourinho scarcely as inseparable amid their season together. Luiz started only 15 Premier League games amid the 2013/14 season, the vast majority of which came in midfield, with the Portuguese opting to play with Gary Cahill and John Terry at the back,
As though that weren’t enough, subsequent to agreeing to sell the Luiz to PSG, Mourinho said that he ‘would not be missed’.
In any case, it gives the idea that has been overlooked, with Mourinho thought to have been awed with Luiz’s performance since rejoining the Premier League Champions from PSG.
