Eredivisie side VVV-Venlo has reached an agreement with Bundesliga side VfB Stuttgart to sign Ghanaian international Hans Nunoo Sarpei. Nunoo, who has been training with the Dutch side and has played a series of pre-season matches for them requiring the move.
According to German newspaper ‘Kicker’, Venlo Board Chairman Jan Schindelmeiser has revealed that the two clubs have reached on a consent to impact the transfer.
Sarpei has been training with the Dutch Eredivisie side in the wake of helping VfB Stuttgart to pick up promotion to the German Bundesliga.
The 18-year-old featured in the side’s 1-0 pre-season friendly loss to PAOK Salonika a week ago as well as their 2-0 win over La Liga side Real Sociedad on Saturday.
The former Liberty Professionals midfielder assumed a part in Stuttgart promotion to the top flight in the wake of fighting to overcome a meniscus injury.
Without enough playing time at Stuttgart, Sarpei’s move to Venlo will enable him to develop as he is ensured enough playing role at the new club.
He was a supplementary player in the previous two-seasons and only finished a ten-minute break in the DFB Cup clash against Borussia Mönchengladbach.
