Djibril Cisse Retires – To Focus On His New Career As A DJ



Former Liverpool, Sunderland and Olympique de Marseille striker Djibril Cisse have called it quit on football, as he concentrates on building a career in fashion and Disk Jocking.

The 35-year old striker who had several spells with English Premier League clubs initially retired in 2015 but returned after a successful hip surgery, but was unable to find a club and decided to call it quit.

Liverpool coughs out a sum of £14.5million drag the Auxerre striker to Anfield in 2004 and registered 24 goals in 79 appearances during two injury-hampered seasons with the Reds. also, features in Liverpool historical comeback in 2005 Champions League final against AC Milan.

However, Cisse move on with a new career as a Dj while also working on his fashion brand ‘Mr Lenoir’
“I loved being a footballer, and so far the ball has been my life,” Cissé told Yahoo Sport.


“I would have liked to continue playing but I must admit today that football is over.

“It is with the same passion that I will devote myself to music, fashion and Yahoo Sport. I will devote myself wholeheartedly to my career as a DJ, producer and consultant, as well as developing my clothing brand.

“Thank you all for your support, the adventure continues and another life begins. A lion never dies.”
