Ex-Super Eagles player Tijani Babangida has tenderly criticized Gernot Rohr invitation of Hapoel Beer Sheva midfielder John Ogu to the Super Eagles 25-man list, insisting that it is hard to monitor Ogu performances in the far middle eastern club.
The former Ajax Amsterdam player has gives Rohr a thumb’s up for inviting Premier League duo Wilfred Ndidi and Victor Moses since they have been in a good run of form lately.
“There are a few players playing in Israel. I need to see them with my eyes, not people expounding on them,” Babaginda said.
“I watch a considerable measure of the English, Dutch, French and German Leagues, it is extremely heartbreaking that the greater part of our players now are not playing. Good that they welcomed them to the Super Eagles.
“I am not passing judgment on them not on what I read but rather what I see. There are several players playing frequently and doing great but I have not seen them. You can simply call Ndidi, he is doing fine, you can call Moses.”
Gernot Rohr has invited 25 players to a preparation camp in France ahead of the African Cup of Nations qualifier against South Africa one month from now.
