Chelsea ended their miserable week with two clinical finish from Marcos Alonzo thrashing Leicester City 3-0, start as they restored their lead to seven points at the top of the EPL.
The Blues who were without Diego Costa after a reported bust-up ith manager Antonio Conte and fitness coach Julio Tous in training.
Chelsea starts the game with ease as Leicester City were unable to intercept Azpilicueta’s cross and Hazard pass to Alonso, who fired home with his right foot from the centre of the box to the right corner giving the Blues an early advantage in the sixth minute.
Alonso double Chelsea advantage six minutes after half-time with help of two deflections following a set piece situation, the Spanish defender who was signed from Florentina in the summer almost scored his hat-trick when a lofted cross by Ex-Leicester City midfielder N’Golo Kante met Alonso providing a curled volley just inched away from the Foxes net.
At 70minute Pedro Rodrigues make it 3-0.looping the ball over Wes Morgan and into the empty net.
Meanwhile, Chelsea captain admits Chelsea have the talents to make up for the striker’s absence.
Cahill said: “Diego is a massive player for us as you’ve seen this season.
Sometimes he plays up front with the two on the side,” Cahill told BT Sport.
“He wasn’t there today so we’ve put Pedro, Hazard and Willian up there so you try and defend against them, three boys. It’s very difficult.
“We’re blessed to have talent like that and if someone’s missing we produce, someone comes in and puts in a performance like that.
“We’re delighted with the result.”
