Antonio Conte has revealed that Chelsea FC influential midfielder could be sidelined for almost 20 days, as he conceded the loss of Kante, who has suffered hamstring injury on international duty with France, was a ‘major problem’ with a lot of essential games coming up.
Chelsea FC manager says the midfielder will need a scan to decide the degree of the injury but anticipates that his star man will be out for about three weeks.

Kante has forced off in the first half of France’s World Cup qualifier against Bulgaria a week ago and Conte has now confirmed he is set for a short spell on the sidelines.
On Kante and the rest of Chelsea’s injuries, Conte said:
‘Bad news. As you know very well we have three injured players.
‘[Alvaro] Morata – I hope to have him back very soon, I hope for the next game against Roma.
‘Kante, we are going to do a scan next week to check his situation, if he is improving. But for sure it’s a hamstring problem and this is a big loss for us.
‘You know very well the importance of Kante in our team. We don’t have another player with the same characteristics. We only have Bakayoko and Fabregas available.
‘We have to approach seven games in one month so we have to find different solutions, adapt defenders to midfielders.’
Chelsea FC expect Kante to miss no less than three weeks and that leaves just Tiemoue Bakayoko and Cesc Fabregas as the club’s senior, fit central midfielders. Scott, 19, is yet to feature for the club. However, Conte says the youngster could play part in the coming weeks.
Chelsea will face Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Saturday and Conte could be forced to change his tactics given the club’s injury issues, with Alvaro Morata and Danny Drinkwater joining Kante on the sidelines and David Luiz could be pushed into midfield
