Steaua Bucharest head coach always takes a couple of Vodka shot with the club’s director of football before any games in the hope it brings them good fortunes.
Superstitions are typical in football with football players putting on one boot before another, touching the turf before entering play, or saying a supplication before a game kick off. Some are more bizarre than others.
However, Laurentiu Reghecampf superstitious philosophy is quite extraordinary, the former Romania midfielder consistently gets intoxicated with his director of football before any game to such an extent that he couldn’t take a proper walk during a recent game, as indicated by ex-Romania Coach Victor Piturca.
It doesn’t just happen, there’s always a start, Reghecampf and the Director started the silly act after a Europa League game with FC Zurich, which his team secured an ideal result, so they proceeded with the week by week vodka-shot in the hope it would bring good fortunes.
Nonetheless, their current run of games proposed the vodka isn’t exactly having the influence they’d have trusted – from their last eight trips, they’ve lost three, drawn four and only won once.
